Residential Surveying Expo 2025 Round Up.
“I’ve always said it, for me, [the Residential Surveying Expo] is the event of the year, having seen it grow each and every year, the team at Sava should be proud of what you’ve all built. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the event again. We met so many amazing people.” – Ian Bullock, CMO, Surventrix
Tuesday 7th October saw the return of the Residential Surveying Expo at Coventry Building Society Area – and what an incredible day it was! This year’s event was bigger and better than ever, with over 700 delegates in attendance and 50 exhibiting surveying firms and service providers joining us from across the country.
The moment the doors opened, the exhibition hall came alive. Recruiters were eager to meet Sava surveying learners, graduates, and experienced surveyors planning their next move, while service providers showcased the latest surveying tools and software.

Technical Stage Highlights
Alongside the busy exhibition hall, the Technical Stage was standing room only for many of the day’s CPD talks, with a packed schedule of sessions covering hot industry topics.
The Q&A session exploring the current Home Survey Standard consultation drew a large crowd eager to hear directly from those shaping the future of the profession, and featured industry experts Kate Charrington, Tim Kenny, and Larry Russen from the RICS Working Group involved in the proposed changes. It was great to see so many surveyors actively engaging with the conversation.

We also saw a fantastic turn out for sessions exploring:
- How artificial intelligence can support (not replace) surveyors
- The implications of RdSAP 10 for residential surveyors
- The role of upfront surveys in the homebuying process
- Changes in the rental market
- Tips for starting and scaling a surveying practice
Our guest speakers from across the industry – including representatives from GoReport, Walker Dunn, Bluewire Hub, Novello Group, Skyline Surveyors, and SDL Surveying – shared invaluable insights.
Careers Stage Success
Over on the Careers Stage, seats were full as delegates listened to inspiring talks and real-life journeys into the profession.
Sava graduate, Daniel Hopla, kicked things off by sharing his experience of qualifying through the Sava diploma, explaining to attendees how he’s built his career as a residential surveyor with Peer | King Surveyors.

Christopher Moran, also a Sava graduate and former police detective, told the story of his journey from law enforcement to running his own surveying business, and winning RICS Residential Surveyor of the Year at the 2024 RICS Matrics Awards.
We also heard from Survey Booker about their innovative business skills solutions and how they work together with surveying firms to create efficiencies, from GOTO Surveyors on their diverse working models and work options, and from Connells on what it’s really like to work as a corporate surveyor.

A Huge Thank You From Sava
Helen Orme, Director of Marketing and Training Sales, commented:
“Wow, I don’t know where to start. A massive thank you to everyone who attended, exhibited, and helped to make the Residential Surveying Expo 2025 such a positive and successful event. Delegate numbers were at an all-time high and it was great to see so many qualified and budding surveyors looking to connect with firms and enhance their skills and knowledge. The Expo wouldn’t be what it is without the enthusiasm and support of the surveying community. A special thank you to our event sponsors who helped to make it all possible.”

See You Next Year!
We’re already gearing up for the Residential Surveying Expo 2026, and if this year was anything to go by, you won’t want to miss it.
