Module Information

  1. Introduction – Introduction to invasive non-native plants from Dr Dan Jones
  2. Overview – Recognise the plants and understand how they grow and spread
  3. Legal – The legal instruments in England and Wales relevant to UK INNPs
  4. Identification – Identification of knotweeds and growth characteristics in different seasons
  5. Law – The law and its background, easements, restrictive covenants, contract law, negligence and occupier’s liability are looked at in this module
  6. Reporting – Desk-based and on-site inspection techniques and effective reporting

Assessment

There is an online test after completion of the course to demonstrate knowledge attained.
