This qualification provides knowledge and understanding relating to walls and floors in residential buildings. It covers the different construction of walls and their function as well as how they may deteriorate over time. It also includes common floor construction and their function as well as how they might fail. The qualification explores ground gas, how this may enter the property and how to mitigate any health risks.
