Sava Qualifications: Career Development for Housing Professionals.
Here at Sava, we’ve been providing education for housing professionals for decades, supporting the career development of those already working within property and housing, and helping those looking to enter the industry to gain professional, accredited qualifications. But what do we offer and who can enrol on our courses?
What qualifications does Sava offer for career development in property?
We offer a range of qualifications designed for both existing property professionals and those looking to enter the industry.
These include:
- Diploma in Residential Surveying and Valuation: A Level 6, degree-alternative qualification aimed at those looking to enter the residential surveying profession.
- Certificate in Residential Valuation: An online qualification for existing property professionals such as RICS or CIOB members wishing to offer residential property valuations and join the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme.
- Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) Training: An online course providing the skills needed to understand and assess the energy efficiency of buildings, and produce Energy Performance Certificates for domestic dwellings.
- Self-Paced Building Surveying Qualifications: A suite of online Level 4 Awards for social housing professionals looking to upskill and gain accredited qualifications. Awards can be built into Certificates, which can then be built into Diplomas.
How are Sava qualifications delivered?
The delivery method differs depending on the qualification in question. Some of our qualifications are delivered entirely online through our state-of-the-art online learning platform, Sava Learn. This means you can complete these qualifications at a time and place suitable for you. Our larger qualifications, such as the Diploma in Residential Surveying and Valuation, are delivered via a blend of face-to-face, practical, online and virtual learning with a live trainer, adding variety to the training whilst reducing the need to travel to our course centres.
Are there any entry requirements?
Entry requirements differ based on the qualification:
- The Diploma in Residential Surveying and Valuation is open to individuals without prior experience, making it an accessible, modern route into the residential surveying profession (without the big university price tag).
- The Certificate in Residential Valuation requires membership of a professional body such as RICS or CIOB.
- Domestic Energy Assessor Training is suitable for those considering a career change and does not require previous experience.
- Self-Paced Building Surveying Qualifications have no strict entry requirements but are designed for existing housing professionals such as those currently working in social housing to build a solid foundation of ‘bricks and mortar’ skills.
What additional training does Sava offer?
Aside from qualifications, we offer online training modules targeting specific skills and knowledge areas in residential property, such as damp and condensation, inspection and reporting, floors and joinery, and more. These are ideal for earning CPD hours and furthering one’s understanding of residential properties.
