Here at Sava, we’re not ones to shy away from a challenge, especially if it’s for a good cause. Throughout the month of June, we’re delighted to be joining other surveying academies such as SDL Surveying, Countrywide Surveying Services and e.surv Chartered Surveyors for The Bushtucker Trail, a virtual trip along the East Coast of Australia to raise money for LionHeart.

LionHeart is the independent charity for RICS surveyors and their families, offering crucial support for those who fall on hard times, as well as those looking to develop and thrive in their careers. The charity also offers this service to all Sava learners studying for the Diploma in Residential Surveying and Valuation, making it a cause especially important to us.

For the next 30 days, using Strava to log their activity, a team of 25 at Sava will be walking, running, cycling and swimming towards a target distance of approximately 3,000 miles — for the Ozophiles out there, that’s the equivalent of travelling from Melbourne to Cairns.

We’ll be sharing our progress on social media, where you can expect to see some friendly competition between our fellow participating organisations, and even amongst members of the Sava team as we vie for the top spot on our Strava leader board. Don’t forget to like, share and comment on our posts to keep us motivated. And if you’re happy to donate, please head to our JustGiving page today. We’re grateful for all donations, big and small, and remember, all money raised goes directly to LionHeart so they can continue their fantastic work supporting our industry.

Smart watches, comfy shoes and true crime podcasts at the ready — Sava’s Bushtucker Trail begins today! Good luck, team.
