The assessor’s standard approach should be to search any double glazed window for a date stamp located in the glazing cavity. If you cannot find this date evidence, you should always check the FENSA website.

Visit www.fensa.co.uk and select the tab entitled reorder certificate.

The data on the FENSA website allows you to check the total number of windows/doors that have been registered with FENSA for a particular property.

Incorrectly recorded glazing data may lead to changes in an EPC’s SAP score and recommendations which in turn can lead to audit fails, therefore you should ensure that you use this site frequently as a documentary evidence tool.
